Aavik I-180
INTRODUCING AAVIK INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
Valuable experience from developing the Aavik 150- and 300 products, is the foundation for this introduction of new features that elevates the performance of the new integrated amplifiers to an even higher level. In the making of the new amplifiers we have maintained the best modules, added new up-amps and much better components. With a considerable amount of noise reducing technology and introducing a design with much better mechanical features, these amplifiers represent an new and innovative edge to high-end products that is only experienced in real life.
MODULAR FOR STACKING
The design on Aavik amplifiers matches the design of complementary Aavik units for an complete high-end music system eg the Aavik D/A converter, Phono stage and streamer. Fitting additional mechanical grounding is straight and simple if you stack the Aavik units, just keep in mind to place amplifier at the top (for best possible cooling). We still recommend to place each unit separate on a well grounded shelf for top performance.
LIKE AN MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Shaping the cabinet, the use of aluminium has been drastically reduced to eliminate hystereses. Instead we have replaced the aluminium with a new naturally based composite material with a dense structure of different fibres and, among them wood fibres - all in all properties suited much better for the purpose. Besides that, the visual design is inspired by musical instruments with much less straight lines and surfaces.
THREE QUALITY LEVELS
Aavik amplifiers comes in three quality levels; I-180, I-280 and I-580. In comparison the I-180 and I-280 differs in the amount of noise reducing technology used in the design. For the top model, I-580 you further more gets much mechanical improvements, such as the titanium cross embedded in the top of the amplifier and inside a massive copper chassis - expensive choices, but only the best will do for this quality level.
